GITMO: MUSLIMS GETTING CLOSER AND CLOSER

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

It’s only a change of geography.

Why then go for that when it tragically brings the worst of the worst—at least representative thereof—closer and closer to our neighborhoods?

When I lived in Walpole, Massachusetts, mentioning that geography to practically anybody raised eyebrows. Why? Because immediately persons thought of Walpole Prison housed there in our village.

It got so that Walpole was known more for the prison than anything else. That prompted authorities to change the name of the facility from “Walpole Prison” to “Cedar Junction.”

There you have it. Inmates were living in plush-named Cedar Junction. Nice.

Now for those in northern Illinois, welcome to the area becoming stigmatized for a very, very long time.

Thomson Correctional Center is its present tag. It is
empty now. But in time it will be filled with the mortals who despise us the most. Of course, there are others globally, but these in America stand for all those haters.

Why does the Marxist Muslim Barack Hussein Obama bring these Islamic sludge slingers into our nation when they could just as well be lodged where they are? He does it because he has to kiss up to his left-of-left comrades.

Therefore, though housing Muslims will bring many new jobs to Illinois, it is not worth the target that it provides Muslim terrorists who want to use it as a shooting gallery. Perhaps a bombing hit. Why oh why?

Per ACLU’s website, the following can be attributed to Anthony D. Romero, Executive Director of the ACLU:

“The creation of a 'Gitmo North' in Illinois is hardly a meaningful step forward. Shutting down Guantánamo will be nothing more than a symbolic gesture if we continue its lawless policies onshore.

“Alarmingly, all indications are that the administration plans to continue its predecessor's policy of indefinite detention without charge or trial for some detainees, with only a change of location.

“Such a policy is completely at odds with our democratic commitment to due process and human rights whether it's occurring in Cuba or in Illinois. In fact, while the Obama administration inherited the Guantánamo debacle, this current move is its own affirmative adoption of those policies.

“It is unimaginable that the Obama administration is using the same justification as the Bush administration used to undercut centuries of legal jurisprudence and the principle of innocent until proven guilty and the right to confront one's accusers.”

Bombs away!
