In 1999 Susan Boyle had her first release.

Did she give up because she didn’t shoot off the success charts? No.


Now she’s known around the world because of Britain’s Got Talent. She is wowing millions of those listening to her sing on YouTube.


She’s never been married. She’s never been kissed. She took care of her mother and father till they went through the final door.


She lives alone with her pet cat, Pebbles.


She attends the village church where she sings praises to her Lord. She also enjoys karaoke in the nearby pub.


When she sang before Simon Cowell and cadre, she sang a sad song of youth’s dreams imploding over time. Yet in her informal comments she let it be known that her hope remained alive.


Susan is surely a bright smile in a gloomy world. Thank you, Ms. Boyle.
